Restorative Yoga is a passive practice that allows the practitioner to safely and comfortably hold a posture for 6-8 minutes at a time. Each pose is completely supported by the use of blocks, blankets and bolsters. This style of yoga offers the unique benefits of each pose without the effort or aggression seen in most fitness based yoga classes. It is truly a practice meant for ALL BODIES!

Because we want you to receive the most beneficial practice, only 15 spaces are available. We use 15 poses in the class including pranayama and meditation. Each posture is pre-set and students rotate from one to the next every 6-8 minutes.

Restorative yoga can help to offset an overworked mind and body. It is a meditative practice that includes deep breathing with a focus on centering and grounding oneself in the moment. It is especially beneficial for women on their moon and /or trying to conceive.

  • The week of the New Moon will be accompanied by live music and is a two hour practice. Please note that this class is $25 and you must RSVP in advance.

  • The last Thursday of every month includes Mantra Meditation. One hour Restorative Yoga followed by one hour mantra meditation.

  • COST: $10 suggested donation, except for our New Moon/Live Music Practice which is $25.00.

Meet your teacher: Amanda Capobianco!

Amanda has been teaching yoga for nearly 15 years, training teachers to teach better and helping people design habits and practices to enhance the well-being of their lives. She strives to offer yoga as a sacred practice for the illumination of ones soul and invites her students to go deeper than just the postures of the body.

Amanda has developed a unique Ayurveda Lunar Sequencing style that honors The Seasonal Shifts (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter), The Monthly Lunar Cycle (New Moon and Full Moon) and Daily Rhythms ( Morning, Daytime, Evening ). This sequencing style honors our bodies natural tendency to shift rhythms (be it season, astrology, weather or age) and inspires the practitioner to live a more cyclical life based on intuition.

Amanda‚Äôs asana styles include Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Restorative and Yoga Nidra. She is a lover of yoga philosophy, pranayama, kriyas, mantra and meditation. 

Amanda has traveled with her work to India, Indonesia, Nicaragua, Egypt, The United Arab Emirates and throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. She has studied under Laughing Lotus Founders Dana Flynn and Jasmine Tarkeshi, Thomas Ashley-Farrand, Swami Brahmananda Saraswati of the Shankaracharya lineage and Swami Umesh Yogi Ji of the Rishikesh School of Yoga in India. She is a dedicated student of recognized Taino Elder and Ceremonial Leader Maestro Manuel Rufino for whom she owes her eternal gratitude.
