INNATE Postpartum Care—Certification Training is a 4-day, intensive retreat for birthkeepers, health care providers and traditional healers, wanting to revolutionize women’s health care through tending the postpartum period. INNATE’s training teaches theory and application of holistic postpartum care, and provides essential understandings in the creation of a thriving human culture.

Ancient postpartum traditions throughout the world—while specific to the cultural context in which they come—all share deep common roots. These postpartum traditions all point to the importance of an extended resting period, warmth, specific foods and bodywork after birth.  Many of these traditions also teach that how a mother is cared for during the postpartum time—will profoundly be reflected in her health through menopause and beyond. These commonalities of postpartum traditions throughout the world are not a coincidence—they are rooted in our physiologic design as humans.

Through the modern sciences of Pre and Perinatal Psychology, Psychoneuroimmunology, Epigenetics, Woman-centered Physiology and Anatomy and more, we come to understand that which humankind's ancestors have always understood: That postpartum care is a NECESSITY and not a luxury.  Postpartum care IS the preventative medicine to postpartum depression and postpartum mood disorders.

Training is December 1-4 from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm each day. Tuition is $647; register at www.InnateTraditions.com.
